Is this in the outliner (i.e. when you tap a file on the Files tab)? If you could supply a screenshot that would be great.
If you export an item/file or view an item in the item editor you should see the tables rendered correctly.
If you are referring to the text editor then you can create an init.org and configure the font - see https://beorg.app/learning/initorg/ for more details.

I have a bunch or org tables in my Dropbox. They display fine in Emacs org, but Beorg does not align them correctly. Is there any way to make it use a monospaced font so these would work correctly?
