Overwriting an entry with Template

Currently the documentation says that templates only add entries. Would it be possible to implement the ability to overwrite previous entry of the same name? I’d like to be able to create a shortcut with multiple selections that saves the selected text in the specified area without adding more to it, just that one entry.

Eventually - yes. The code I've written to handle templates can apply a template to an existing node. This will be used to facilitate bulk editing of items in beorg - and could also be exposed to shortcuts. There is no ETA yet but I do hope to offer this ability in a future release.
