Check to see if you have background refresh enabled for beorg on your iOS devices. I'll take a look to see if there are any optimisations that can be made in the widget code also to help with the issue you are experiencing.

My observation on both iPad Pro (with latest iPadOS) and iPhone (iOS 15.8): when a Monday arrives, the widget date updates to this Monday, which is expected. Then starting from the next day (the following Tuesday), the date shown on the widget won't update so it's stuck on the Monday. For me this happens quite often.
The workaround is to open the app, then the date on the widget is updated.
